UNESCO officially recognizes the natural paradise of Manu as a World Heritage Site, and later appointed in 1997 as World Biosphere Reserve, home to more biodiversity in protected areas of rainforest and several species endemic to the cloud forest. The vast majority of forests in the world have been impacted by actions of man, Manu almost intact thankfully, has remained far from civilization.
