From Cusco to Mollepata

Tour Itinerary

Day 1: LIMA / TRUJILLO / CITY TOUR

Arrival at Trujillo, reception at the apartment, transfer to hotel Libertador. Guided tours of the city center, surrounded by Colonial mansions recovered: Urquiaga House (housing the Reserve Bank) and the House Risco (now the Museum of Archeology). Visit the cathedral with its collection of paintings from the Quito School, the Monastery of El Carmen Museum of Art. Return to the hotel.

Day 2: TRUJILLO / CHAN CHAN RUINS

Am Breakfast buffet at the hotel. We visit the famous ruins of Chan Chan, located 44 km from the city of Trujillo. Consists primarily of mud, is comprised of nine palaces, the residence of the rulers of the Chimu state (ancient Peruvian culture). He is considered the largest mud city in the world, declared by UNESCO as World Cultural Heritage. Then visit Huanchaco is a pretty fishing village and resort near Chan-Chan, ideal for lunch in one of his restaurants, including a chance to see small-scale fishermen on their horses Totora, the specialty is seafood. Return to the city of Trujillo and transfer to hotel.

Day 3: TRUJILLO / PYRAMID OF THE SUN AND THE MOON / LIMA

Am Breakfast buffet at the hotel. We started the day from south of Trujillo in the Moche Valley are these magnificent pyramids of the Sun and Moon are built of adobe in a stunning show Mochica civilization. Recent excavations led archaeologists to discover new adobe walls with striking designs in bas color. In time, transfer to airport for flight back to Lima.
